Sep 9, 2013. #3. with vnt valve disconnected the turbo vanes should have been max open position and the car should have been very slow in low revs with no boost. if you can get under the car to the turbo with the engine idling it should be 75% or full spool max boost position. if you then can pull off the silicone hose going to the actuator on Just been to the garage - admittedly not FIAT but good enough - all the gear allegedly. Didn't seem to be able to reset the service switch so despite having had an oil change etc. the light was still flashing as before and saying the panel 'Change engine oil'.
