It's mostly blank, but you can see faint color pixels of where the battery bar on the side should be, and also bits of color of where the flower in the watch face design would have been. Activity recording still works, and can be uploaded to Garmin Connect if the watch is connected via USB. This is what I used around 2015-2016. It was a nice watch for the time, with great battery life, but is very much outdated at this point. If you only care about running data, it’s probably fine, but it will be missing a lot of features from the app and won’t be as accurate as newer models with upgraded GPS receivers. DS4ed.
