Guild Wars 2 is a game with a lot of people in it. It is, afterall, an MMO. As such, there’s quite a lot of ways to interact with people. Shout, whisper, ban, kick; there’s a lot of options
You don't have to be the same race / class / choices to play together. Just be in a party together in the same map instance while they're opening a story mission and you can choose to join them. (Edit: You start with a Waypoint unlocked in each starting region.) If you are on the exact same story step (race + choices) you can choose to advance
It really doesn't matter because you can join their story and help them by partying up and just jumping into their story instance. GW2 is very flexible when it comes to playing together and you should just drop all preconceived notions from other MMOs that restrict you based on what race or class you are or whatever.
/sqjoin for short :) another fun fact about this command, its account wide! if a commander has accents in his name, you can sqjoin another character name of theirs and it will join the appropriate squad even if they have commander on both characters.
Instance.
The megaserver is Guild Wars 2's unique solution for allowing players on different servers to play together. With the megaserver, rather than separating maps into instances based on the player's server, maps are open to players of all servers. You can freely play with friends, guildmates, and other players on different servers.
Players Helping Players. Changing game instances. A friend and myself are having issues trying to join each other's instances while ingame. We've tried a number of things while asking the global chat but nothing has worked. We're both running the same build,We're both on Europe region,We're both in the same area (Queensdale)We've both tried movin
For L10-30, each race has a different story line. You'll be able to play together, but it'll be one person doing the story, and the other along for the ride & assist, then go do the story on the other side. At L40, the races meet up in the story line, and you can progress together. (be sure to pick the same order to help at the end of the L30
ItICk.
